South Florida Fishing Report – February 13, 2008
Today was a pretty good day of fishing. Our trip was originally set for yesterday but, because of the rain, we rescheduled it for today. I heard of numerous sailfish and sharks. We had one shot at a sailfish and caught two sharks. The first shark was a Silky shark about four feet long. The second one was a Spinner shark that was over five feet and weighed 30 or 40 pounds. We also had a large Wahoo eat one of our baits, but we were fishing monofilament leaders and were not able to keep it from biting through. We had a few other mystery fish that we fought but were unable to see before the hooks pulled out. We all had a good time and saw some fish we don’t see a lot of. Well that’s all for now, hope to see you soon.
