South Florida Fishing Report – April 22, 2009
Today we had a mom and her son and daughter from Vermont. We started the trip catching bait then went trolling. We caught a couple of kingfish and missed a few other fish. They wanted to catch something big so we went shark fishing after trolling. It took a while to get a bite but we finally got a big hammerhead shark on the line. We fought it for over an hour before getting it to the boat. We leadered it up to the side of the boat took a measurement, removed the hooks, took some pictures, tagged and released the fish. Then we went to one of the wrecks and caught a nice size amberjack. All in all it was a great day of fishing.
