South Florida Fishing Report – April 19, 2009

Sunday, April 19th, 2009 Captain Wally

Today we had a father and his son and daughter. We started the trip trolling and caught eight kingfish and a couple of bonito. We then went shark fishing. After about a half hour we got a bite on one of the shark baits. We fought the fish for about an hour before getting the leader, it was a hammerhead shark. We pulled the shark close to the boat, got a measurement, took some pictures, removed the hooks we could, then tagged and released the shark. It nice to see the sharks starting to show up, usually they are here earlier in the year.
