South Florida Fishing Report – April 18, 2009

Saturday, April 18th, 2009 Captain Wally

We had two trips again today. On the morning trip we had five people that were repeat customers. We went right to trolling because they wanted to catch something to eat. It did not take long before we had our first mahi-mahi bite. We trolled the whole trip and consistently kept catching the mahis. The afternoon trip was a father and his two sons. We trolled for a little while and caught a barracuda. We continued to troll, but with no bites, we gave up on that and tried shark fishing. We did not get any shark bites, but we did miss a couple of small mahis and something else that chopped our bait to pieces. We trolled for a little bit more to end the trip and missed a couple of bites, but no more fish.
